How flexible are narrow and thick dowel rods when they are soaking wet?
I am making a model of an Arrow shuttle loop launched roller coaster. The track, spine, and possibly supports will be made out of dowel rods. I will soak them so I can make them flexible. How long does it take and how flexible do they get? Oh yeah, the model should be around HO scale.
it wood be good to steam them in a enclozed air tight enclosher for atlest a day or 12 howers the wood will hold the mosture beter.
this is how bought bilders bend the bowes in the bace of a ship.
your gona have to bend them slow with meney vices.
but over time it will bend to the dagre you wont not a right angell but it will bend.
