and where do buy the items i need?

thank you for all your help

There are a few ways to wire it up. You can use a single power source, aka a battery or most train transformers have the “AC Additions” feature for things like lights, switch motors… Your other option is to get another train transformer and use that to vary the power to your lights so lets say you want to make them “come on dim” or you don’t want them glaringly bright, you can do it that way. Finally, when it comes to wiring, try and hook your lights to 2 main “bus wires” so if one light dies, the whole town doesn’t go dark and your left scratching your head as to what bulb is dead (like those evil Christmas light strings that you spend 20 minutes on trying to find the dead bulb….). Hope this helps you somewhat with your wiring. I was into model trains once and it is a big and daunting task trying to set up a layout.
