wooden Train set?!!!! HELP.?

My son is going to be turning 3 next month. He LOVES trains.. but all the train sets I find at the stores are the plastic ones with TONS of accessories and look like they would be complicated to put together for a toddler. Can anyone give me a link to just a plain wooden train set!!! One that my 3 year old could easily take apart and put back together because I know he will want to put it back together all the time. Please if anyone can help!! Thanks!!

Does Your Child Love Trains? Then They’ll Enjoy A Thomas The Tank Engine Train Set

The Thomas The Tank Engine TV show has spawned innumerable amounts of merchandise. With the premise of entertaining young children Thomas The Tank Engine also manages to sneak in a bit of educational material like counting and even a bit of history. And because Thomas is really a train, kids are able to use their imagination and develop an appreciation for the more simple activities that many adults once knew as children.

With every popular show comes merchandise and Thomas The Tank Engine is no exception. Fortunately the merchandise appears to be made with the same care and attention to detail that the show is made. Train sets featuring Thomas The Tank Engine have a unique attention grabbiing quality that will have kids firing up their imagination in no time. You can find wooden toy trains from Thomas the Tank Engine, and these trains are most likely to resemble the basic wooden toy trains played with by many adults when they were children. The cars are colored bright shades of red, blue, green, and yellow, and often include small wooden blocks to carry as “freight”.

The creators of Thomas the Tank Engine also make a wide variety of accessories to go along with their toy trains. Little ones will have a blast by adding their own village or town to their Thomas the Tank Engine system! The Deluxe Knapford Station is a very popular addition to Thomas trains. With two pieces of authentic switch track this station closely resembles a real passenger station. Realistic sounds of whistles and movement help the child’s imagination run free, while the station is brought to life with the built-in microphone. Your kids will love the chance to become engineers of their very own train station!

Thomas the Tank Engine also comes with several friends children love to play with. The two dump trucks, Max and Monty, help kids develop sharing skills. Max and Monty are of the opinion that they are experts in construction but actually cause trouble wherever they go. They have tendency to boss around the smaller machines, but in the end they always learn to share their space.

There’s more to Thomas The Tank Engine than just train sets. There is a whole slew of merchandise available. There are heaps of educational materials such as mats, art sets, and puzzles to go along with the train sets. You can decorate just about every aspect of your childs room with Thomas The Tank Engine merchandise. There are clocks, furniture, bed sheets, doonahs as well as knives, forks and plates.

How much do you spend on your kids for Christmas?

What do you spend on your lil ones for Christmas? What ages are they?

So far I have gone a little over budget for our 19 month old son. We got him a train set; that nice wooden kind that has lots of accessories. And a big metal dump truck and digger truck. I just love to play with him. And he is such a good boy…I can’t help myself.

My daughter is only 3 months old. There isn’t a whole lot she really needs. I got her an amazing dress to get pics with santa though.

I don’t know where any of this stuff will go. Grandma always spoils the kids, so I know our house is about to get even more cluttered.

Tell me about your Christmas gift list…

My parents spend about $500 on each kid. I feel spoiled compared to some of the answers to this question. Makes me appreciate my parents a heck of a lot more.

They typically get me, clothes, under garments, pj’s, perfume, shoes, and a check in the amount of $300…I’m 27 years old. I expect all of their money to go to my first born next year though…that is fine by me! I think I’ve been spoiled enough!

They do the same for my brother and his wife…they both get gifts and a check in the amount of $500 for them to share.

Overall my parents spend about $1500-$2000 on Me, my Brother his wife and their 2 kids (ages 2 and 4).
